fast 102 intake

fast 102 intake
any sponsors interested in seeing the difference from a LS1 intake to a fast 102 intake on a turbo car...
like a turbo fairmont?!
im honestly, very very curious about the power gains on a stock ls1 intake turbo car making my kinda power, what a 102 intake would do, with the same stock throttle body, with that adaptor and the power gains.
when we swapped my friends truck intake to the ls6 we picked up 40rwhp.
im not looking for a freebie, but 800 bones, im not sure if its worth it.
but 300 dollars for a LS6, the gap isnt that far off to a fast 102...
caught in the middle here. but curious of the back to back results.
anyone have a ls1 intake'd boosted car, and swap it out?
any of the speed inc guys chime in ?
a whole lot of people have the ls7 corvette, then they have the 90, and then they get the 102... not a great comparison since they are all Extremely good intakes.
anyway...
someone willing to get the sloppy mechanics a discount for a fair and unbiased test? LOL

would love to see the results. hopefully someone will chime in and be cool.
the only reason I got rid of my painted ls6 was because it was getting old and i was afraid it would crack under big boost. figured why not since no other intake fit easily. the ease of fitment plus larger runners is what i overpaid for lol.

I wouldnt run a fast 102 . I made the swap on my old car and had to run the fast rails on it. The rails lifted under boost at 20 psi ( yep they were bolted down tight ) and I have heard that has happen to other people But There were nice gains though over my ls6 intake. I saw a 40 hp gain with less boost. IT sure looked all sorts of ugly from the fire after all was said and done.

Also, one note for the FAST 102 that I was told to do by a reputable builder, shine a flash light down the injector holes when the intake is mounted. Make sure there is clearance, mine blocked 30% or so of the injector pathway and I had to machine them. Most people put it on and go, which works, but I like know the injectors are working the way they were designed. I guess worse that can happen is the fuel could potentially puddle on the ledge?

Why not run a holley intake? When running alot of boost id be scared the fast intake would come apart since it is a multi piece design. Just my thoughts. A friend pushed 25psi through a ls6 for a few months but just went to the edlebrock high rise. So we will see what difference it makes in the next few months when the car gets on a dyno
