Default best cam for a 383 LS1 build?

Gotta rebuild the bottom end of the engine anyways so i'm undertaking a stroked 383 LS1 build in my 98 WS6 A4, got my kit from TSP to include an Eagle forged crankshaft, Eagle 6.125" H-Beam connecting rods with ARP 8740 bolts, Wiseco 3.903" -3cc Flat-top pistons, and clevite bearings.

Currently I've got long tube headders, some form of catback exhaust that the previous owner put on, stock heads which I'm hoping to try and get ported, a ported stock throttle body, and the stock LS1 intake manifold. I'm planning on picking up an LS6 intake and a new cam to round out this build for the time being, but am unsure what cam would be good for this build. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I would go with a custom cam. That way it will be suited for your application.

The truth is you can't just pick out a cam if you don't know what you will be running for your cylinder heads. Each cam reacts different to how your heads will flow.

get a custom cam to match the heads you use,and to work with your gears and stall.
