Default Sudgestions on cam swap?

Ok I have an 09 hummer h3 alpha, with a 5.3, and 799heads, what cam would work best? I found a megadeath cam( 244/242, 610/612) , I also found a cam from mast performance (I don't know the specs) . Does anyone have any recommendations?

What are your goals for this truck and how do you plan on using it? Are you willing to do change other items like torque converter for a bigger cam?

That cam is entirely too big for a 5.3.

I'd look into a 220's duration cam.

Well, right now I am open for any sudgestions, I have thought about pulling out the 5.3l and replacing it with a 6.0, or a 6.2. ,and yes I realize that I will need to replace my converter as well.

If I could just unleash power out of my 5.3 I would be happy. It does have 799 heads from the factory, and since this is a "detuned" 5.3 I imagine the cam was where the did it,

You need a cam that has good low-end power for your hummer h3. Take a look at the CompCams #54-455-11 (Int. 215 Ext. 223 Int., Lift .604 Exh. .610 LSA 112° ), or the Speed Inc. SI-Torque Cam (214/220 .559/.564 111.5 LSA). I'd also look at the Lunati Voodoo #20540713 (217/223 113+4., lift .549"/.549").

I've also got a torque cam that will give it plenty of low-end and surprising top-end power also while sounding great and giving that old school muscle sound and lope.

Yes, the high lift "nasty" sound would be great,

Does it have stock exhaust manifolds or LT headers?

I have removed the factory exhaust and installed dual exhaust with "random tecnology" converters,

So does it have aftermarket headers on it or factory manifolds?

Also, duration and LSA determine the sound of the camshaft where as lift doesn't play into sound, only performance. Overlap which is determined by duration and LSA is what gives a car it's lope at idle.
