Default Just Curious.

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea what these two little filters are? (They were on the car when I bought it a couple weeks ago). They make my car sound like I have a turbo or something . I would guess mabye they help cool down something? Thanks in advance.

The one on the 3/4 inch hose is the filter for your a.i.r. pump it usually comes with the aftermarket lids since factory the get filtered air thru the lid. Not sure which other filter you mean?

Agreed.

I too can only see one filter, and it's for exactly what was described above.

Hiya! I see both filters, basically those both go to the AIR Pump.
The air pump is below your driver-side headlight.

The one thats by the intake lid is an intake for the pump, while the one thats pointing towards the driver is where the air is being pumped.

So at this point the AIR pump is useless, normally instead of having the hose at the top, it runs to the headers/exhaust manifold and injects air into your exhaust, this was used to warm up the CATS.

I honestly just took off the Air Pump, it frees up space, you lose like 20-25 pounds off the front, and you don't hear that annoying air noise anymore

My pump never ran when i bought my 02 so i took all the air pump parts off and used a 98-99 lid and had it all deleted from the pcm when i had it tuned. It looks much cleaner and i used the air hose to do the hose mod in the rear. Who says hotrodders dont recycle lol

It's more like 6-7 lbs but it still worth ripping out.
