Default 96 Z28 Cutting off bump stops??? RT-S

Hey guys.

I orderd the Weld RT-S wheel package, rears are 15x10 and I have a Nitto 555R 275/50/R15 on them.

I jacked the car up, and put them on, and they touch the bump stop. I realize things change when the car is off the jack, but I dont see how they will not hit while driving.

#1 Has anyone else run into this??

#2 Are there big side affects to removing the bump stops/mounts??

It is not a daily driver, just used at the strip and the fri-sat night cruiser.

if you left the rear hanging by lifting the vehicle by the frame, yea they will hit the bumpstops. but like stated above if the suspension is loaded and supported by the rear end, should be fine

agreed. If you lift from the frame my wheels will catch the bump stops everytime. Never had an issue when weight was loaded.
