Unfortunately I don't have any up close pics of mine, but I do have the composite style fill-ins/overlays for the bird and my rear letters. I really like them, as they give the bird more depth than the vinyl overlays.
Like I said, no close ups, but here are a couple front end shots. I'll probably be washing the car in a day or so, I'll try to get you some close-up shots then

yes, they're pretty easy to install. Just make sure you've got everything cleaned up, and rubbed down with alcohol. It is a one shot deal though, once that adhesive sticks, I doubt you'll find it easy to pull it off and try to re-align. But i had no issues with mine. Just hold two corners of each piece, a corner in each hand, using your thumb/index finger line up the piece with the bird on the car and everything should come out nice and straight
I think the pieces came in a bag, and not in the form of the bird, so before you start installing anything, lay out the bird with the pieces, so you know exactly where everything should go, as some of the pieces will look fairly similar.
If you have a heat gun or blow dryer (for hair), that'll help as there are some slight curves in the surface of the bird on the car, so to get the overlay pieces to conform to those curves the heat will help. But it's not 100% necessary, applying good pressure by hand should do the job.
