Turbo hot side questions
I am making the hot side for my turbo setup. I am using schedule 10 stainless on the "log" style manifolds(1.5"o.d. primaries, 2.0"o.d. log). When I have those complete I will obviously move on to the merge for the t4 flange. My question is, what gauge or schedule stainless do I use for that? Looking at others merge "collectors" for turbo flanges, it seems most people are using much thinner pipe there. If thinner is the case, what was the point of using such thick material on the manifolds?
thanks

schedule holds heat very well but are 2.2mm thick and only come in 2 bend types. There pretty hard to fit in tight locations unless your building a log. Pipe "sch10" is measured inside diameter and tube is measured out side. so where 1.75 tube is the outside diameter ther schedule 1.5 is almost 2in outside diameter. Schedule is very thick so it retains the heat a lil more.
what is it going on???

I am building a log manifold.
Its going on my LS1 powered BMW.
I plan to run the driverside log down into the flange, then have a crossover from the pass side merge in right at the flange. Guess I will use 16gauge stainless for the cross over.
thanks guys
