Default New to nitrous..

I have an 81 Malibu with a 5.3 swap.. it made 321hp/312 tq through an 8.5in rear, 3.73s and 3600 unlocked stall.. With a race weight of 3560, 1/4 times should be in the mid 12s, my ultimate goal is an 11.5 et..

I figured spray would be the easiest way to get there. I had planned on going turbo, but I dont want the hassle of redoing all the exhaust and wasting pricey headers.

I've never had a nitrous car before, so what would you guys suggest for a nitrous newby?

Are you running the factory fuel injection or a carb set up?

I am running fuel injection. Truck intake, injectors and rails. Return style rail with DBC throttle body.

You got a couple of different options then. You could go with a plate system designed for the truck intake, a single nozzle setup, or direct port.

Here is our plate system for the truck intake. Right now it on sale until Monday nov 26th with 10# bottle for $645.99 or 15# bottle $709.74. These systems are flow up to 350-400 hp worth of nitrous.

The Brand X single nozzle system is good for up to 200 hp worth of nitrous. This one only come is a 10# system. $424.49

I would also recommend doing something along the lines of a window switch to activate you system since you are running the drive by wire throttle body. We carry the NOS mini window switch. It activates the nitrous via throttle position and rpm window.

$161.99

Other things you might consider are heaters to get the most runs as you can out of you bottle and to keep pressure up. They are a part of our deal buster sales right now till monday.

$149.99
