first time ls1 buyer... Hows it going my name is ole im 24 years old currently a SRG. in the Unites States Army.. Ive been in love with the ls1 for years and on my last deployment i bought a 2004 pontiac gto 6spd with 32k miles on it.. I am looking to throw some money into the engine for more horsepower what would be the first few steps id want to take?

amen. not sure about GTO underdrive pulley size but check and see if you can go smaller - is a cheap mod. I bought a BBK on Ebay and installed a few days ago. Thanks for your service!

first step would be to figure out what your budget is.
long tubes, otr intake ( or keep 04 box with a good
drop in filter ), and tune would be a good start. if you
have $4k or so to spend, look at heads and cam upgrade.
it really wakes the ls1 up.
