Default trickflow ls1 515hp topend kit.. need some advice

I have the Trickflow Topend Kit 515HP LS1.. 1st question is how much rpm can i get out of the heads... i want somewhere around 6400. 2nd question is what would be a better cam for the kit?

What heads come in that kit, what size cam etc, trickflow makes some killer heads, there cams are pretty good to,but pending on the cam you have i think ya can maybe get something a lil better,6400 should be no issue, kinda need more info on what ya have, what your doing etc,

I am not saying Trickflow is anything but good parts. That said I would not use as cast aftermarket heads.

Ported GM heads, trunnion upgraded stock rockers and cam can can get you past this number for less cash. 515hp sounds like a lot but that is a flywheel number when everything else you see is rear wheel numbers.

I would leave buying aftermarket heads for when you want something much higher performance and then I would never bother to run them without professional porting.

i agree you can get a set of 317 heads and port them out and get a Good cam and intake, also playing with the different size head gaskets can give you more compression as well

talk to Tooley at TEA, or vengeance racing ,or EPS for good cams that they have developed for that head.if you just bought this kit try to return it and buy the vengeance racing head valve train pkg,its a better deal that makes more power.
