halo light questions
so on my new to me 2000 z28 it has halo lights.
looks like a blueish color and the effects just suck.
very very sorry lighting im not sure if its a cheap upgrade kit or what.
im kinda new to this halo light stuff and im from what ive found.
maybe they used the stock light housing and did the upgrade?
can i convert this back to orginial style head lights or what?
on low it hardly produces any light at all i will take some night shots and post tonight. high is somewhat better but not much

More than likely they used a cheap H.I.D kit and without actual projector lenses they will suck ***.
Heres what you need to do, unplug that cheap kit and toss it and hopefully they did not do any splicing into the stock headlight plug otherwise you can just throw in some regular bulbs and be set.
If you do not like the Halo lights search for "whistler mod" on here and just pull out the halo insert when you have the lense seperated.
I had the halo headlights as well and this is what they look like now:
Also throw in some Silverstar bulbs and you will be very impressed with the light output, search on Ebay for the best prices.

I plan on doing the whistler mod myself on my 2000 Z as well. But i was looking at the WS6 store lighting section. They have a couple of Halo lights...from eagle eyes, they are expensive but are they a good mod? Or are Halos out dated or do they not look good on our cars? Sorry to thread jack but i gotta know. Thanks

Sylvania Silverstar bulbs are overrated, over priced, and short-lived. You can get the same lumen output (or better) from their XtraVision (XV) line for half the price and they last longer.

Halo projector headlights wont be as bright a just installing new HID bulbs, Halo projectors dont really light up the road overall as much as just stock headlights... Few family members of mine switched to Halo projectors and honestly they arent as bright as stock headlights
