Default Critique turbo my setup

Got a pile of parts ready to start assembling and would like some opinions on what you guys would or wouldn't change before it all goes together.

This is going into a f-body @3200-3300lbs

Engine- 365ci forged rods & pistons, stock crank, 10.2:1 scr, mildly worked 317 heads, Vic jr intake, 4bbl TB w/hat, comp 244/244 .600/.600 116lsa.

Trans- fully built th400 w/brake, FTI 5k converter.

Rear- fab 9" 3.50 gear to start out with. 28-10.5 tire

Turbo is a stock bw s480. a2w intercooler

Goal for the car is 9.00 or 150mph quarter.

One of my concerns is the cam size, I think it might be too much for my goals. I bought it thinking the more power I can get out of just the motor the less boost I'll have to run to save the stock heads.
Another is the turbine housing, would switching to a 1.1ar be benifical?

If everything you have is already installed I would run it and see how it performs. The converter is the most important thing in a turbo car so I hope the one you have is really tight up top for a turbo application. You will easily surpass your goals and I would run the housing you have now, should be a 1.32 ar right? I think it will run hard and like some high rpm.

The motor is not together yet and I have link bar lifters so a cam swap is not a quick easy job. That's why I'm second guessing myself puttin it in.
The turbine housing is 1.32.
The converter is a new custom one so I don't know how tight it actually is. FTI assured me it would drive very similar to my 4k n/a verter from them.

A new custom what? If its not specced for your turbo setup it will be way off. Sounds like its setup for a n/a 5000 rpm ls motor?

A new converter speced for turbo and cam listed. My n/a verter from FTI drove nice and tight untill I stabbed it.

i'm extremely happy with my FTI converter now and was just as happy with the one that was in the car when it was n/a. bang for the buck is right on to boot! good luck with the build man!
