What is the worse that can happen?
Alright guys I am by no mean a mechanic, but I can definitely do more than just an oil change. But when it comes to tuning I havent a clue.
My question is:
What can happen if I install a 102mm manifold/tb(no MAF) and nitrous plate and drive before getting a tune? (on top of mods listed on my sig)
Reason I ask is because I am doing the install myself but the shop I want to take the car to is a four hour drive from where I live.
Has anyone done this?

Is the car already set up to be ran with no MAF? If so then whatever- drive it. It'll run a little funny , but treat it like a baby- if it runs to poorly then make the decision and park it. Its not gonna take that long for you to find out it doesn't run to great. You'll probably have to pedal the car your self to warm it up.

If you take your MAF out without tuning for it your car is going to freak out and no run properly. Leave the MAF plugged in until you get to the tuner. It will have no problems running with the new manifold, just that the MAF is needed here until you get it tuned out and running properly in SD.

I would only drive it to get it to the tuner.
So is it a good idea to try to get it to the tuner by installing the parts and leaving the MAF for the time being?
Im also looking into towing it to the tuner

The SES light will come on steady, drive the car without entering PE mode or (WOT), Idle will probly be a little high and it may surge a bit and lower speed under a load... As long as the tuner has tuned the VE table correctly you should be fine to drive it in a sensible manner... DONT HOT ROD THE HELL OUT OF IT!!!
