Default 2000 mustang gt ls1 swap

Hey guys I just joined. My names Jason and I got a 2000 Mustang gt. About to pull my 4.6 due to a spun rod bearing I believe. I wanna do something cool and from what I understand an ls1 swap is pretty bad ***. Just need to know what it would consist of. I know aje k member and motor mounts. But I dunno much about driveshaft, trans work, ac or heat. I don't know anything about the stand alone system, guages or fuel. I know I will need to run a another fuel line. Any help would be great. Thanks guys!

There are lots of options as far as gauges. You can use ls1 camaro gauges, data feed speed hut gauges. John is doing a 1999 stang right now and im sure he will chime in!

It's actually a very simple swap, I went with a Aje k and ls1 mounts. They make mounts to work with your stock k also. You can go with a T56 or 4l60e for trans. There are many other options but these bolt right up. Driveshaft will need custom built, I'm not running heat nor a/c so I'm no help there. Cheapest way to do gauges is swap in a camaro or t/a cluster. I had green96ta do my harness so he is taking care of that so I can just make a few connections and be ready to run

Thanks john! Ya I read stuff about yours. I'm wanting to do a t56. What's the thing with the fuel being a return system. And btw your cluster is cool I like that idea. What headers did you end up using?

I bought dynatech headers, the return system I simple also. You need a corvette fuel filter/regulator. It will have a feed line going to one side the coming out of the other side to the rail. The other outlet on the filter is for the return, tap a an fitting in the top of the tank, then feed a line from the filter to the an fitting and your done. Thanks for the compliment let me know if I can help

I used the AJE crossmember with all stock steering components on my 01. I went with cheap ebay headers for a foxbody with LS flanges, not the Dynatech or Kooks(too much $$$ for my budget).

Yeah same as what I got. Aje k member and mounts. Used stock mustang rack everything clears. Just had to do minor adjustments to the drivers side flange to clear the steering linkage

I keep my eye open. I occasionally get some in when people want to trade them twords a new harness.

If you decide to go new, we would be happy to accommodate you with a new system.

The base kit which is your basic 4 wire hookup is $650. This includes a new harness for your application, and a refurbished, flashed pcm ready to go.

That price does not include any performance tuning, we can provide that at an addition charge if you need it.

To anyone who has done the ls1 t56 swap...what trans cross member did you use. I see aje has one for a th300 and th400 but not for the t56. And did anyone have to cut the shifter hole bigger. And if so how much. Thanks all!
