I would start with looking at the TPS, and replacing that, "They don't cost 747 by the way" and also checking for any shorts you may have in the wiring. My brother and his wife had a firebird that they had something smiliar happen. It shouldn't take you too long to look it up online to figure out how to change it yourself and save you a shop charge.

Not sure if that's the correct part number but they are pretty much sub 100 bucks.... do the work yourself....

I highly doubt its the throttle body, and I also have a 3.8 Camaro. Now I have to go look at my car, but I do believe one of the sensors in the throttle body is actually a MAF sensor, I just replaced mine recently.... Should be a couple screws... But I tell you what, when I get home I'll make some phone calls and if your sure you need a new TB I'll grab one locally, it will be used, but i'll sell it to you for half price!! LOL 747 bucks for a new TB for a v6 car is stupid when you can buy an entire motor for 500 bucks......

well again you can buy a whole motor for like 500 bucks so your getting shafted, I'll go look at mine when I get home, I'm at work right now so I can't just go look at it, but I would just replace the TPS, which im pretty sure you should be able to do without having to replace the TB

it should be the same gm put the cableless tb on 99 and up i believe and the plug in that u see on the left side is where everything plugs in at cruise, tps (i believe),and the acuator for the butterfly the sensor that u see on top is the mass air flow sensor

Whisper lid is similar to the SLP lids that the LS1 guys use, but made for a v6, it gets rid of the stock air baffles, kinda hard to find anymore really, and the SLPRA is the SLP Ram Air that makes your car into a ram air that is better then a factory ram air setup, it sucks cold air from under the car using the little area between the radiator to pull air up into your lid.

Welcome to LS1 Tech!

Well I found that the throttle position sensor inside the throttle body went bad so I bought a used TB from a junk yard and as soon as I plugged it in the reduced engine power light went off and it started working so I drilled the rivets out of the old throttle body and looked at the throttle positioning sensor it was wet I'm sure the water shorted it out and made it go bad NGM does not sell just the throttle positioning sensor you have to buy the whole throttle body either New or from a junk yard
