Default which turbo would you run.

I am doing a turbo 5.3 mustang. I am planning on using a tu1 cam. I would like around 650hp 700 hp have a set of 243 heads. I have been looking for a turbo for a few months just can't seem to figure out what I need. I was looking at a s400, a CRT mid frame 88 , gt4082 I believe, tc78. I just don't know what will work good or what will be a waste of money. It Is gonna be a drag car that might see a few miles of street but not a lot.. I wanna keep the turbo below 1200 ... what turbo would you use and why and will the tu1 work good or not? Any advise would be awesome

Yes I agree S475/83mm for up to 800 hp, if wanting more power or a bunch of rpm go bigger ex wheel.

TC78 will meet your goals, but wont have room to grow with it, but it is the best bang for the buck

Keep space and weight in mind as well. an S4series BW will be about twice as physically large and heavy as a TC78 if you have a space constraint.

If you want upgradeability... do the S480 with the 96/1.32.

And get a different cam while youre at it.
