Default What springs for only 0.560" lift?

Curious what valve springs you guys would recommend for a puny 0.560" lift cam. I do not know what the ramp rate is like, but the spec sheet says the intake opens at -3* before TDC and closes at 35* after BDC, at 0.050" lift. Exhaust has the same lobe profile.

Right now I'm using Tooley duals but they are way overkill for this cam. The heads are coming off soon and I want to put in lighter springs to free up some power and to make it a little quieter. The engine will also be boosted soon, looking at up to 15psi if that makes a big difference. I will not be spinning past 6500 RPM. Looking for something reliable. Stock retainers, locks, and seats is a plus.

I'm thinking some PAC 1218's. Thoughts?

I'm using the same springs with a 220/224/111 .600 .600 EDC cam on a set of ls6 head, with stock retainers.

Yep. Mine is a eps 226-230 .598 .600 lift on 241s with stock retainers. Showed no signs of valve float up to the rev limiter at 6600 on EPS dyno.

Why not LS6 springs?

I think those are good to 0.570" (according to the link below), a little too close the my cam's lift. Some searching suggests not to go over 0.550" with them. With boost I think I would want a little more spring pressure. With 2" valves and 15psi that's roughly 45lb of pressure trying to open the valve (crude math).

PAC 1218s are a good choice.

You could also go with some LS9 springs. That cam is .562/.558

Could use Comp 918s as well. Or BTR Platinum springs with Tool Steel retainers since it's less expensive than many other kits, including the PSI 1511.

These are great valve springs and often not considered. Even though the cam lift is not that high, you may need more seat force if going FI. The PSI springs (and others) may need some shimming to get the seat value up.

also running the psi 1511 max life springs, with stock retainers/keepers/seats. my cam is .221 .228 .581 .588 and its all in a stock 5.3. i plan on going bigger the springs are good to .625 lift without any shimming and these springs are the ones the top nascar teams use so the endurance is crazy. and i picked mine up in the forums for 120 shipped with low miles!

Assuming you don't have any massive aftermarket rockers or big heavy stainless valves, I'd go with the PAC 1218's.

Stock valves, stock rockers with Comp upgrade, just a mediocre setup. I went ahead and got the 1218's, thanks!
