Default newb to the lsx scene, need help on 5.3 swap

if things go right i'm buying a 99 formula roller wednesday and would like to know what i would have to do to put a 5.3 in it. im sure i would have to get ls1 brackets and accessories and oil pan, i heard something about having to drill one of the bolt holes for the alternator. the 5.3 i have is out of a 07 avalanche but not complete. i'll be doing a search to see what i can find out but just wanted to ask also. i plan on trying to stroke it to a 383 and get AI or TEA or someone to do the heads. which intake and throttle body would i need to go with also? thanks in advance

If you search on 6.0 or LQ4/LQ9 swaps (several on here) you can find alot of info and possibly even some pictures on where you need to drill for the alternator bracket. I believe someone even did a write-up not too long ago, but other than that it should be a fairly straight forward swap.

I might try to go ahead and get a 6.0 block and do a 408 since I'm starting from scratch anyway. That and find some l92's and send them to TEA or someone
