Default What springs with TSP 231/237 cam?

I going to be suggesting this cam to a friend and was wondering if the Comp springs that are rated up to .600 lift will be okay or not? Thanks.

I suggest using the Crane duals. Scroggin Dickey is running a special on them. Check out the Sponsors and Group Purchase forum.

I have the Rev's with mine. Is there a reason you guys are saying not to use these? The Crane's were not out when I got my cam or I would have gotten those. But I'm pretty sure I have a bad lifter. I hope it has nothing to do with the Rev's.

I would recommend either the Cranes or the Patriot's.

Awesome, thanks guys. Will the Cranes or Patriots work with stock heads? Also, Brian from TSP: Can I buy these from you at the same time I get the cam?

Default interesting

I spoke to Comp on this many times and the response I got was that the 918's work the best when they are pushed to max capacity. Again, according to Comp the 918's can be run to a 615 lift. The down side is depending how hard you push the car, you will have to change the springs every year or two.
Comp quote "The 918's are by far our best spring on the market and will kick butt against most double springs".

Don't beat me up over this, I am just passing on the info from Comp.

If I was manufacturing springs, I would tell you the same about my product Even their quote is contradictory - they are the best, but will "kick butt against MOST double springs"? Honestly, I would stick with the Crane or Patriot duals. I have yet to see a problem with either spring. I can't say the same for 918's.

Default I knew it

I knew someone was going to chime in on the MOST part. As I said, I am just passing along the info. I thought it was interesting that the 918's work the best at max capacity and that they could handle a 615 lift.

We have the crane's & the patriots in stock. I prefer the increased seat pressure that the Patriot's offer, but both are great springs!
