Default Possibly dumb wiring question

Alright im slightly confused about 1 connector on my 98 fbody harness.im planning on using it for my swap.the connector in question is c102. Alldata didnt list it and thanks to google I belive its for the starter, its a single pin connector with a purple wire. Is this wire supposed to be supplied 12+v via start position from the ign switch? Or is it the other way around with 12v out to trigger the starter?
Thanks

NO! That is the starter solenoid wire! that comes from the starter relay. On the kit you are asking about from me I can make this part or all of it plug and play. Just give me a call sometime and ill help ya out.
