Talking Question about a 2 Step in Automatic Transmissions

Hey there guys! As the title states, the topic is about a 2 step for an automatic tranny. Well recently I bought a turbo kit for my 99 Trans Am and with it came a Lingenfelter 2 Step. I have heard and read that 2 steps are more common in Manual transmissions, and they really are, but can a 2 step be helpfull in a Automatic transmission? I plan on running with a 4l80e and my car when done should be pushing anywhere above 800RWHP, could the 2 step help me? or is there really no benefit on using a 2 step on Autos?

Thanks Guys! any help is greatly appreciate it!

Alex!

Reason I ask is because I am currently selling my turbo kit because I changed plans on going bigger (with different setup) and I dont want to run an A/C delete kit anymore lol

here is the link for the sale thread in case someone is interested lol: https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...ston-area.html

It will help with consistent launches at the drag strip. You set your 2 step then you can concentrate on the tree. You can not watch your tach and the tree at the same time.

A 2 step is helpful no matter the set up, as others said, set it and mash the gas wait for the light. It also helps build boost since you'll be at wot
