Default Valve spring recommendation for LS3 heads on LQ4

I've yet to get the cam recommendation from Pat G, but I want to go ahead and order valve springs. I'm looking for an affordable (already way over budget) option that will support .625-.650 lift. The heads are brand new LS3 fully assembled units, so if I can reuse any of the locks or anything that will help. Thanks in advance.

Need to have springs matched to the cam. I'd say with what little you have given, prc .650's would suffice.

Agreed it would definitely help if you know the specifics of the camshaft before ordering, but for what your trying to do our PRC .650 or .675 spring kit will do the job great. Which one you choose will depend on exactly what your specs end up being. I've listed links to our .650 and .675 kits below.

Stock LS1, LS2, LQ4, LQ9 cathedral port heads have intake valves that weigh around 100 grams.

Since genuine LS3 valves only weigh 89 grams, you could easily run our steel retainer spring kit. It's only $219 with free shipping.

There's a little more information here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-produ...its-219-a.html

That spring kit looks awesome. A great value for sure. I also notice on your site that you offer spring only kits. As I'm on a budget, could I replace just the springs and reuse all of the other stock ls3 components?

Would this work with everything in my stock Ls3 heads?: http://www.briantooleyracing.com/660...l-springs.html

Sorry, the dual springs require their own locators and retainers.

Single beehive springs are the only ones that will work with stock locators (seals) and retainers. I've been reluctant to sell beehive springs due their failure rate.
