Default New "2 Piece" Timing cover pics!!!!

Here is the NEW 2 PIECE Timing Cover that my buddy XXX made for the C5 along with all LS1 F-Bodies in his spare time.

This will save alot of time when doing a cam swaps on a C5 as u dont need to undo the Rack&Pinion now,Plus you will be able to play with cam timing much easier on either the F-Body or C5....

Sweet!

wait a minute..
Maybe it's just the angle.. is there enough room to change the cam? .. looks tight.

Awesome! I see sales of adjustable timing sets jumping now.

How much? I want one.

Looks like it'd be a royal PITA to swap a cam out and be able to line up the crank/cam dots. Looks good though as far as build quality.

Is it just a modified stock cover? I was hoping when someone made one it would go a bit lower down.

Okay let me answer some questions.
This has been tested on a 2000 C5 for 200 miles now.

NO LEAKS OF ANYKIND and lines up like a factory cover.
It is a modified FACTORY cover to keep cost down for the average guy.

U must line up the dots from above looking closely at the gears but it can be done very easily in a well lit shop.We have removed the cam 5 times without a hitch, there is plenty of roon to clear. All thats required is to take off the gear and drop the chain and the cam will slip right out.U will not have to remove the balancer anymore.

Please contact WALT at this email address for any and all other questions.

Oh yea that billet cover the sponsor is gonna be making is beautiful...
I know the sponsor who is building it...

This is just something my buddy made in his spare time.
He asked me to post the pic.

He just wanted to show it to the public.
He didnt wanna step on ANYONES TOES....

This was just to give some info, not to sell parts out from under any sponsors on Tech.
I didnt post that he was selling it,Just that he made it..

I'm sorry if I did anything wrong?

Can you take a pic from the top looking down into the crank area to see the dots?

Is there enough room that you don't have to remove the balancer either? That would make for a SIMPLE cam swap.

Nice work!

That looks a little tight to remove all that with a double roller.
