Default 1969 Camaro LSI conversion

I have a few friends who want me to do a conversion from a stock 350 cu in to an LS1 conversion. This has me very interested as this is a build that my duaghter and I are doing for her first project vehicle. Can anyone tell me what I need to do for a conversion like this. What parts etc... I have an LS1 with 12,000 original miles from one of the guys who wants me to do this.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Well, you're going to need a lot of things really.

Fuel system redone, custom headers, motor mounts, tranny mount, wiring harness....etc...etc... It's worth the effort in the end, but there's a lot to think about.

Here is the question. What does your budget look like? I was trying to do a budget 69 camaro swap to help aid other camaro owners that do not have a big budget.
Mount plates can be had cheap if you make your own or buy them. $50-100
Oil pan, if ur ls1 has the fbody pan it can work but may barely hit the center link with the correct plates. If not a ctsv pan $200 or holly pan $400
Exhaust, fbody manis fit or headers can be from $400-$1000
Transmission crossmember mount depends on what your going with or make your own.
Fuel system from around $200-???????

You just need to be more specific on what exactly you have on ur ls1 n your wallets thickness.
