Default tourque converter install?

would a local transmission shop be able to install an aftermarket tourque converter in my 2001 Z28? or would I need to bring it to a speedshop? Just wondering if a transmission shop would be more exeperienced in TC installs and also maybe charge a little less.

Any competent tranny shop should be able to do it.

I got a quote from a guy I know who has a buddy w/a tranny shop. He said $350 to install a stall converter, tranny cooler, and a TransGo shift kit on my '96 Z28. Not bad at all IMO considering the tranny has to come out.

why not do it yourself? it's not that hard..the 2 hardest parts are seperating the tranny from the engine, and make sure you have 3 distinct clicks when putting tc in the tranny..if not say good-bye to your tranny pump!
