i need some advice on what to buy.. LFA or L92
What going on folks.I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have the option to buy a lfa 6.0 with 13000 miles( but the motor was hurt. Making some sort of noise)
Or buy l92 with 30k miles( motor was making noise up top)
Possible it had no oil pressur to the heads.
I work for gm. These are both cores. I can only get one , and another person will get seconds .
Which one should I get?
Its obvious that it will be completely torn down and rebuilt.
How much power can if I do ported heads and cam.
Its going into c5 z06..

The l92 is obviously already a larger bore and more than likely has less damage. If the noise was top end, your planning on replacing all that anyways so I see no reason not to go with the l92.
If the 6.0 has bottom end damage, your going to do heads and cam...and bottom end work.
No brainer in my book.

Keeping the VVT I have seen some cars with the A6 transmission making 480rwhp. Of course that is with the right supporting mods on the exhaust and cold air intake. That would work out to around 600hp at the flywheel.
