Default Monsoon Amp with High end componets

Vehicle: 2002 Trans am

I have an Alpine IVE W535 head unit with CDT HD subs in the sail panels. I am looking into upgrading the stock front door speakers with something along the lines of Focal Polyglass V2's or CDT HD 6.5" components.

My question is, does the stock Monsoon amp provide enough power to run these high end speakers up front?

Longer answer... sort of. The Monsoon amp provides about 30 watts RMS to each of eight channels so it will power the components, it just won't be a lot of power. Quality components will be a big improvement over stock even with the stock amp but additional power would really make those speakers come to life. So the answer is - they'll work and they will be better than stock until you get a chance to upgrade to more power.
