275 fits nice . I wouldn't go no bigger than a 295.

I like the way the 275/60s sit on an 8 inch rim. I worry that the 275/50s will wear hard in the middle. Anybody have this problem?

I have my 275/50 on a 8.5" wheel and they are wearing perfectly. The Nittos will be narrower though, just a little. I once had Nitto 555R on my 10" wheels and that looked bad...too stretched. A friend runs the MT 275/50 on a 10" and it still looks ok.

Here are mine:

That looks good. I want to try them, I was just afriad to put em' on an 8". If you get a chance, could measure the total tire width on a rim for me?

Sure can. IIRC I think it's right around 10" sidewall to sidewall.

I run 25lbs in my 275 50 nittos and they seem to be wearing even. I have heard at 30lbs the middle wears out first.

Seems to me 60 would hurt your mph being so tall. If I was spraying I would run 60s for better traction.Wouldn't the shorter the tire be better if you can get it to hook?
