Default 626hp 800+Tq!!

Recently purchased a 98 mistic teal z28 for a steal.

Car was already set up with a 5.3lm7 built t56 and on3 76mm turbo with and fmic. Car ran a little rough when I got it(exhaust leaks at collector) and it was only on a street tune to make it run.

So I immediately took the car to LMR not even 4 hours after buying the car.

After all said and done problems ironed out and tune where I should be, it late down 626hp and 800tq @12 psi.

I can't believe how much power these 5.3's will make with minimal effort on a budget build. Ill be putting meth on the car later and ill be praying the 10 bolt holds together!

Thats awesome, I'll be going with either a 4.8 or a 5.3 with the 76mm on3. I was hoping to be in the 600's, this gives me hope lol.

You should have no problem doing that with a 6 speed. I put down 606/570 on 14lbs through a unlocked converter and a 4L80E. The on3 is choking my motor something fierce though.

Good numbers op.

Yea the torque may be from a spike or something but these on3's are decent units. But anything over 14 psi on a 5.3 and they are done

So 14 psi is all they're good for on a 5.3? What should be the next turbo I go to? And ya I figured the Tq was some kind of fluke, but it will still look badass on a dyno sheet!

From my experience 14psi is just about it. That baby 65mm turbine exducer can only flow so much. I went with a knock-off magnum 80mm that has a 77.5mm turbine exducer. I havent put it on yet but It should be all the turbo I need on this 5.3. Alot of guys run the T4 S475 or the PT7675 with great results. Turbonetics also just cam out with there version of the 7675 and a 7875 that should fit exactly like that on3 fits. May want to look into that

Really? I am running a 5.3 with 180,000 miles and 25lbs of boost on E85 and meth injection. The 5.3 is completely stock with my XER273 cam, chinese head studs, LS9 gaskets and Patriot Gold springs. I have tuned it myself with HPtuners.

Here is a video from a few days ago. Go to about a minute into it. The boost guage is on the far left.

Here is another video from a few days ago "attempting" to get on the highway. It destroys the 315/60's in all three gears. Stupid nasty on the street!

you have two, thats a little different as far as backpressure that hes talking about the 5.3 itself can certainly take more then 14psi i ran about 20 on mine and it loved it
