Default Cam gurus come on in...

I'd like to ask the cam gurus' what your opinions are on the Comp LXL lobed cams. I've heard they are easier on the valve train and reduce the sewing machine sound I hear from some LS set ups. I've got a C6 Z06 with bolt-ons (Airaid CAI, Kook's 1 7/8" headers, & tune) and thinking about a 230/242 .645"/.651" on a 114 LSA. The Z06 is daily driven so I want good driveability, decent mpg and decent power especially mid range. I am not concerned with eeking out every last hp, especially if it is peak made past 6,500. I'm hoping for 530-540 rwhp on a Dyno Jet. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Sent you a PM, but the sewing machine noise is more associated with incorrect push rod length and lifter bleed down than the cam lobes.

Try some BTR SLR Lifters to stop the bleed down...
