Default building turbo headers /log

Im getting ready to build some log manifolds for ls s10 . I see some people use sch10 ,sch40 pipe and even exhaust pipe . is this all preference or maybe cost? Also people that have the turbo mounted on the headers / logs made with tube do the stress and crack from the turbo weight ?

Are you doing a pass through style log or a log for each side?

Im thinking log style with the crossover in the front to keep room for the DP on the pass side

If it's supporting the turbo i would do sch10 from acestainless.com. If the turbo is being supported by brackets it would probably be cheaper to make them out of 16ga exhaust pipe
