If it was a 6.4l srt8 392, then Id expect the result. They are not a slouch by any means.

He made 345 on a mustang dyno. His GTO would not be a slouch. I would think with the lighter GTO and lees power should be a good run for a 6.4.

I have seen stock 6.0 GTO's go in the 12's.

Good death, my guess is he wasn't stock.

Kinda hard to say. First race seemed to be a rape while the second you were able to keep up. Id say stock ls2 goat vs stock 392 the 392 should have a steady pull but not a rape by any means.

Good chance that its a 392 being that its green.

My guess. 392 with a little N20. First race sprayed seen it wasnt close and second was pretty confident he could beat you on the motor and wanted to see by how much.

Maybe im looking too much into it. lol

all depends on what your definition of "50 roll i was in second. we both hit it he was gone. i mean gone by 80." If he as flat out walking away from you on that run, but on the second run you were even up until you missed 3rd gear then I'd suspect nitrous. Despite what some of these guys will say, a 392 SRT8 is only gonna slowly walk away from you.

50-80 a stock or near stock srt8 might have pulled half a car. A 150 shot SRT8 might be able to pull out 1.5 to 2 cars on you in that 50-80mph range. That extra power would really start to shine after 80mph though.

It's not the shifter, it's the motor mounts. They allow for a lot of excess play, sometimes preventing the gate from lining up.
My suggestion: buy hinson motor mounts, you will be thoroughly impressed.

SRT8's are no match for a 5.0 GT. See how that goes? Moron. How about the 750rwhp SRT8 that I schooled at the strip last year when I was heads/cam? You see, he was the typical dodge owner so I know he was 750rwhp. Why is that? Because he needed a vinyl sticker package proclaiming that he was both supercharged and making 750rwhp. 1' tall numbers. Was fun watching him trying to keep traction so he could reel me in though... :fat-fail:

LMAO!!!

Stock for stock a 392 is a very good match with a 5.0. Actually i give them a slight advantage. It could go both ways tho.

I have gone 12.4 in a stock 392. They are faster than 5.0s for sure....

Now when modding comes into the game the 5.0 has the advantage for sure.

The greatest question is why Dodge decided it needed to rival the weight of an aircraft carrier.

Roll dig, it doesn't matter. the 392 vs 5.0 is a drivers race and I would give the 392 the edge past 80. Now that the 392's can be tuned and are hitting 11.8's I want to see a tuned 392 vs a tuned 5.0

Are we talking stock vs stock or the OP's modded GTO vs a stock 392?
