Default Valve train noise??

I have an 02 Z28 M6 that has almost 98k on it and mostly stock aside from a blackwing lid. I have been hearing some noise under hard acceleration that sounds like a tin can with some glass or rocks in it being shaken around if that helps. It sounds like something from the valve train and I only hear it when the throttle is snapped open and then it goes aways. I have noticed that is was much louder today and I want to address any issues before I suffer some kind of valve-train wreck.
If anyone has any thoughts on the subject, please let me know.

Thank you
Derek

I have been running 89 octane with 10% ethanol. Do you think I should go with a higher octane?

Idk about your z28 but in mine it had "premium gas only" on the gauge cluster and the gas cap and in the owners manual... i recommend that you run some fuel system cleaner through it when you fill up with premium.
