Default Help with 2000 Z28

Hey guys i look all over and couldn't find anything on this but i am a buddy is having a hard time with his 00 z28... the car is stock but has a 85mm maf and a bigger throttle body (not sure what size)....but the car is going into open loop under W.A.T. I can figure out why....i thing i could be the throttle body and it not being tuned but looking for some conformation on it.....if anyone has any ideas please help me out on this thanks

IIRC, OL under WOT is normal. I tune my own car, and haven't even noticed anything with I'm not logging.. (Even though I log in OL anyway)

And reference your TPS % when you see OL. If it's anything other than ~85% and up, then start looking at your O2's to make sure they stay in CL any other time when the car is warmed up. Just diagnosed a bad O2 on my buddy's jeep that wasn't staying in CL. But the scanner was so slow I couldn't tell if the O2's were getting lazy.

Sorry about the wat wot think must have had a brian fart....when i test my 99 trans am it never goes in to ol unless its cold or in deceleration and then on my scaner it tells me its open loop Deceleration (car is auto) and when u get back on the throttle it goes back in to open loop..... the same test on the z28 has it going in too open loop when ever u use hard throttle and then it falls flat on its face.... and once warmed up it hesitates on take off...that car is a auto if that changes anything....

What was said is correct, all cars go into open loop at full throttle. It disregards what the sensors say and uses the tune in the pcm
