Remove the radiator cap from the '69 and place it onto the Corvette radiator underneath.

Seriously, lower the Camaro, higher spring rate, wider tires/track, thicker sway bars, more caster, and anything you can do to lower the center of gravity and increase power.

There are a lot of companies that do retrofit stuff for the early gen cars. Coilovers, big brakes, updated suspension geometry, whatever amount of money you want to throw at them...

You can make it handle well but it wont have many classic parts left on it.

Here's what I found....pretty old by todays standards....and with all the full ProTouning guys out there....I bet you could build one easier than "modding" a chassis to fit.

I think the first thing you need to do is throw away eveything but the body! New motor, tranny, wheels, tires, suspension, seats (can't hold on sitting on a dining room chair) roll cage, subframe connectors, etc... gonna be expensive. But if you have the money you can make a bathtub do 1.2gs on a skid pad. I think they do a shootout with a bunch of pro-touring cars every year. Go look at the mags and see whats done to the camaros in that competition. Or just find one of those shops and drop your car off along with a suitcase full of 100s

My car (1968) can keep up with (and beat) the C5's and C6's at the AutoX, but there's a lot more to that than just the car.

Although, to reproduce my car, you're going to need a few of those suitcases Topher talked about

Just can't beat the look! I want a 69 so bad! I would love to put an ls3 motor t56 trans with a maggie in one and full suspension and wheels.
