Default Painless ecu on my 69 chevelle

Hey guys jus bought a 69 chevelle last week and I'm already looking into swapping in an ls1. Does anyone hav any info on the painless harness and ecu? The reason I'm asking is that I found an ls1 t56 setup but it comes with no harness or ecu. Out of a 01 camaro. Do u guys think I'm running a big risk if I do pick the motor/trans? Guy says it had about 40,000mi on it (which seems low). Haven't gone down to look at it in person yet.

The ECU/PCM and harness are available from several vendors. Do not be afraid of the swap, lots of us have done similar. Check the stickies, choose a course and be sure not to mix and match components since several do not play together. You can see several build threads if you search the site.
