Default Steam Pipe

When installing the steam pipe for the reverse flow cooling on the back of the heads, should I use thread sealant? And how about rtv to seal the washer to the head, any required or should it go on bare?

The factory sealing washers with the rubber insert seal the steampipe banjo fitting to the cyl head and to the large washer head on the bolt. I would stay away from using RTV on the steampipe or the bolts, if some RTV extruded into the steam pipe or hollow bolt it could clog it up. I would use anti-seize on the steampipe bolts, if antifreeze leaks up the bolt threads it will be trapped by the sealing washers, no pipe sealant required.
