The salvage yard ripped me off..
I got a motor delivered from the salvage yard. They said it was from an '04 suburban 5.3l. It came with a harness and PCM. But, it was throttle cable, blue and red connectors and a 411 PCM. Anyone know if I can find a vin on the block and ID it? I would know what to request for when I flash and tune this thing. Also, can I use a '02 harness with an '04 block?

The pinouts area going to be very similar. There is a few sensor changes over the years but the main components such as injectors, coils, MAF, MAP, TPS, Crank, Cam etc are all going to be located in the same pin location. The only real difference on the red/blue connector PCM's is whether its DBW or cable TBw/ IACV.
The main components on the engine itself didn't change any from 99 to 06 besides oil pressure and type of throttle body and possibly injector clips from various different models.
