Default 67 Camaro swap

Hey guys, I have a 67 Camaro that I'm ditching the 350/TH350 for an LS set up. The only upgrades I have done so far is a complete Heidts front subframe and pro G front suspension with the Wilwood disc brakes and the Heidts 4 link set up in the rear. My next project is installing an LS engine. I have found a LQ9 from an 02 Escalade with 60mile and a 4L60E trans with all the accesories, ECM and Harness included for 2k. I also found an LY6/4L80E package including everything with 50k miles for $3500. I havent seen as much about the LY6 builds as I have on the LQ9. My end goal is a naturally aspirated, weekend driven street car that makes 400-450 at the tires and is dependable. Any suggestions on which set up is the best value and what would be best for me. Thanks

yo etrone,

What is your budget and build ability? There are many options, but, on this sight you have hit the motherlode of information on swaps for many kinds of cars. Do a search for what you want and you will find it. Good luck with you build.

My budget will be about $8k, i just bought an L99 engine with 7,000 miles on it from a 2011 Camaro SS. He has the matching 6L80e trans too so Im trying to decide if I should go with that or a 4spd such as the 4L60 or 4L70. I looking to make about 400-450rwhp when done.

I plan on doing the swap myself other than the tuning.

I got the front clip off yesterday and the old motor and trans out. Now I'm just waiting for parts to come in.
