Default 98 PCM swap to 99&up Re-pin Questions

I have about finished the re-pin using the "chipsbyal" diagram. However, the following steps are confusing-

87. Red C1-71 PPL TO Red C2-20

89. Blue C2-23 BLK TO Blue C1-60

Normally this would be no problem but then at the end it says:

NOTE: Red C1-60 BRN, Blue C2-19 PNK, C2-58 PPL and C2-20 ORN remain in the same locations.

How can I move these 2 wires if the wires that are in these slots are not supposed to move?

Thanks!

The connector 1 and connector 2 deal just make it confusing.

87. Red C1-71 PPL TO Red C2-20 Disregard the C2 in the second part. Just move move the PPL wire in the Red connector from pin 71 to pin 20 within the same Red connector.

89. Blue C2-23 BLK TO Blue C1-60 Disregard the C1 in the second part. Just move move the BLK wire in the Blue connector from pin 23 to pin 60 within the same Blue connector.

Disregard the C1/C2 reference in the note below. Just look at the color and what wire should be there.
NOTE: Red-60 BRN, Blue-19 PNK, Blue-58 PPL and Blue-20 ORN remain in the same locations.

Thank you sir! That works perfect-

New problem- I am getting the code

P1637 - Generator L-Terminal Circuit (Pending) (Old) (History) (Current) (Immature)

I am guessing this is because I did not have a red wire to go to slot #15 on the red connector. I verified 3 times that I had each wire in the correct spot, but I do not have the red wire for this pin??? Is this correct? or do I need to run a wire from the alternator?

Correct you won't have that wire. From memory I think our 98 runs into firewall grommet on the passenger side and to the cluster. The 99s run it to the pcm.

Yeah straight to the cluster- Ill just shut the code off. Once I build a new tune for the 99+ PCM I should be in business again.

Many thanks DopeFed!
