Default help with optispark

So I built my engine and removed a working 150k mile factory opti and installed a new chandler motorsports opti... Well it lasted about 5,000 miles. My question is should I reinstall my old factory one or get a new one? I'm on a really tight budget but I don't want to do it twice. And advise would help. Thanks

If it ain't broke don't fix it. A new Chandler, IMO, is a step backwards from a working used AC Delco opti. I'd put the old one back in.

Agreed^

But changing it again, is a reality you have to face as possibility.
