Making sheet metal fan shroud for procharger?

So instead of spending $125 on a sheet metal shroud I figure I'd rather just make one.

Questions

1. What thickness of sheet metal should I get?

2. What height/length sheet metal should I get?

Did you ever figure anything out for this? I dont see spending that much for the shroud either, so I'm looking to make my own as well.
