Help Car Will Not Start

Default Help Car Will Not Start

First Things 1st have a 2001 z28 camaro 53,000 on motor.....Has TR Raptor cam...Just brought some 243 heads and had them milled .020 put the heads on with the 7.400 harden push rods.....The car was hard as hell to start when it did start it had alot of valuetrain noise so i shut it down immediately...Now car dosent want to start at all...Still is getting Fuel and Spark....While trying to start the car there's white smoke cuming from value cover and Throttle body....I changed crank sensor and Spark plugs but car still will not Start.....im all out of ideas if any one has been thru this before Plz give me so insight im all out of Ideas Here.......Thanks

Did you pull the valve covers yet and check out the rockers? Did you check ptv clearance? Rotate the engine by hand before first crank?

did you install the cam dot to dot? maybe bent valves?

Valvetrain would be my best guess to start with.

Lol,
He milled the heads. Didn't measure for pushrod length, and added a larger
Cam with longer duration so he's hanging the valves open longer. My guess is
Bent valves. I would pull all rockers off and do a leakdown test.

@badazz81z28 no i didn't but went out yesterday and the car ran again for like 6sec and killed but while it was runing it had no vailtrain noise at all

I did install cam dot to dot....also i did remove the heads n brought them to a local machine shop for a leak down test and they said the heads where ok

The cam specs are 236/242 615/615 @35th SS

How can u tell if values are bent....It could it be from me just tighten the rocker arm down with rotation of the crank cause it not to start?

@poltergeist 02 pushrod length is good
@chevybayboy but look at my cam specs plus its a stock bottom end car

did you flycut pistons? how much clearnce did you have? also what thickness head gasket did you use?

good oil pressure? good fuel pressure? no vacuum leaks? crossed coil harnesses? no burnt o2 sensor wires? just throwing some stuff out there.

Coil harness would be something to look at.. I put my passenger side on upside down and it sounded horrible, even backfiring trough intake. Swapped it back straight and has Dan like a champ since..

The ground strap on the back of the driver side head caused an intermittent start then a no start when I did my swap. Check that it has a good connection (I.e. sand it if necessary)

@justafool swaped them over n still no start
@wytry check the connection its pretty tight also changed my knock sensor and still no start Really Lost At This Point
