4.0" stroker with stock rods
Does anyone make a piston for a 4.0" stroke 4.070 bore with 1.142-1.15 CH and .945 pin bore needed to run the stock 6.098" rod?
All I'm finding in the affordable forged parts are chinese rods and cranks. I would rather not use them.
What I'm thinking is to use an LS7 crank and stock my stock LS3 rods.

LS7 crank has the long snout for the dry sump. I wouldn't put a stroker motor together with stock powder metal rods. If you are on a serious budget, scat crank and rods w/pistons of your choice.

plenty of people use scat and eagle with great success, just confirm the dimensions before installing. Sure they are made in China, but is that really any different than the factory stuff that was made in Mexico?

My concerns with the country of origin have more to do with political and economic issues than quality.
