5.3LM7 with TSP 224R ??
Hey i was just wondering, my 99Z28 now has a 5.3LM7 after my ls1 blew up i picked up the whole motor for 250 bucks complete with 60k on it lol. Anyway I am thinking about doing a cam swap , the car as it sits will have
5.3L
A4 4l60e with 3000RPM stall
4.10 Gears
Full boltons ie longtubes ORY SLP loudmouth , SLP Lid , LS6 Intake
im wondering , do you guys think a 3000 rpm stall is big enough for the 224r
or should i step down to a 220R
i was hoping with the 4.10s it would be fine

thanks for the reply man , i see you have an even smaller stall which makes me feel better lol
people on the truck forum say it needs 3600?? maybe thats because the pickups are so much heavier

my car has a 3k stall and my cam is similar to the 228r IMO you will be fine with the 3k stall mine is perfect. but i will tell you it seems that once you put a stall in you always wanna go bigger!!

i just came across the ability to pick up a lq4 long block for 1000 bucks...with 80k on it, do you think its worth the 1000 bucks plus headache of swapping it for the extra displacement ? being im on a budget

im just really hoping the cam isnt to big for the little 5.3l
i went with what they told me at TSP but i dont want it to be slower than it is now lol , Im just looking to make 350-360 whp with the cam , ls6 intake , longtubes, ory and slp lid , for a fun street cruiser

Torquer 2 is definitely on the larger side for the 5.3, but you do have the added benefit of running it in a lighter car, and matched up with the 3200 converter Im sure you'll have a blast with it. Give us a call if you have any other questions or concerns.
