It's "mostly stock"???
Mileage would be important to know too. Clean title? Carfax OK?

Thanks for the reply. I have a feeling the re-built title is from a serious issue (accident, flood, etc...) at one point, not a cracked bumper. This title definitely reduces the value. The mileage, while average for the year, is still a lot of miles for a 16 -year old car. The miles takes its toll on the whole car, not just the drivetrain. You can certainly ask $3,000 but I doubt you can get it. $2,000 - $2,250 might be more accurate, and even then, maybe. A clean title '96 SS in fair condition with that mileage is only valued at $3,300 or so according to price guides. No one will pay more, especially with a bad title. I hope this isn't disappointing news to you. GLWS!

Not sure if it is a reflection or the back quarter/bumper is fucked up, but that certainly isn't going to help along with the title issue.

It would be worth 2-2500 to me to tinker with/bring back to stock, be a daily driver, and let me '01 SS stay at home. I've always liked the look of the 96-97 SS's, as many do, which might tempt someone to go higher than that. That's all of course after I'd have a chance to give it the once over with a mechanic to make sure that there aren't lingering issues from why it's a rebuilt title.
