Default e85 vs meth? or both

My local gas station has e85 now. And I was looking to add meth over the winter. What one would be better option? Car is street driven all summer long.

E85 is magical. I only have 2 stations around me and have no issues. Make the switch and throw some more timing in it.

If you're out in the middle of no where and you can't get E85, what would it take to switch between 93 octane and E85?

different tunes. Easy if you have a laptop with hptuners.

Pretty sure rob raymer from unleashed perf. ran E85 and meth. He took a stock longblock ls1 into the 800+hp range before it lifted the heads on stock bolts. motor was fine though.

most people say there isnt a point because E85 is around 105 octane and cools the intake charge before it ignites, but this is after the IAT so you cant measure it. It wont hurt to add meth with e85 but its not really necessary if you have an intercooler

Thanks for the info. Really helpfull. I plan on running E85 on my build but idk if I should or just stick with the idea of running C16 on Meth for my build.

depends on how much fuel you need to make the power your looking for. I had to ditch my 60's for my 800-900 goals. I just went ahead and got 200lb so I would not have to worry about it again.

I also have methanol. I will be running dual tunes say for when I go out of town. I will just flash the 93 tune in when I cant get e85, and that is when I will turn on the methanol. The methanol can probably be used safely with both, but you will most def want it when running a 93 tune in the event you cannot run e85 all the time.

So you have to run your car/tank till its dry?

Isn't that bad for the fuel pumps am I missing something.

E85 roughly needs 30% bigger id say 120s will get you the 700 hp you want easily with room to grow. Buy once is the lesson to learn

80s at a base of 65psi and you are good for 750rwhp through an auto. E85 alone is a very capable fuel, I do not see a point in running the meth.

I will be running e85 and meth injection on my car when its done here in a couple weeks
looking to make 750 to the tire with a 5.3
I cant see meth injection hurting anything with any type of fuel if you already have the kit.
my combo is 120lb injector, boost ref reg, with a magnafuel 4703 pump
e85 cools the cylinders meth cools the air (win win my opinion)
