Default Welds Vs Bogarts (ET improvements)

Are there ET improvements in switching from Welds to Bogarts I have a set of both and was looking to sell the Bogarts since it will be driven on the street from time to time and here the Bogarts were more aimed towards the 100% drag car.

But if there is an ET improvement in staying with the Bogarts I'll just take the hit and keep them and get rid of the Welds

Well I have never used none of those wheels soo I cant say anything in comparison about them, but Weld Racing wheels have proved time by time that they improve ET on top drag racers.

Id go with which ever is the lighter set. Heavy wheels take a lot to get going.

the draglites weigh absolutely nothing. i have a set in my garage they are my friends and i wrote it down somewhere but the rears 15x10 with 26" mt et street bias ply weigh 35lbs each and the front 15x3.5\4 with mt sportsman weigh like 26 or 30 each? they are so light its amazing. i dont know what the bogarts weigh...going to the track with those welds comparted to my 17" torque thrust muscle wheels, i saved between 80-90 lbs lol

are these rims on the bone stock T/A? If it's your DD, do whichever rim you like more. Even if the bogarts are a little lighter, it won't make that big of a difference...

No lol on my LSX mustang but the fact that It'll be on the street from time to time I'm thinking Draglites and make my money back on the Bogarts I'm letting them go pretty cheap compared to what I've seen around........Real cheap..

Bogarts are the best and lightest, but if this is a near stock car or even a h/c car i dont see it worth it,find the weights out and compare, for most of us the welds are more than fine, and its not like bogarts are going to make you that much faster, but if ya need that tenth or whatever it helps, imo not worth it but i prefer the look of bogarts over dls

i have bolt rt bogarts on my vette. bias ply all four couners. fronts are 25 lbs a piece 17x4.5 and rears are roughly 31 lbs a piece 16x10 with 26/9.5/16. but i was going for the bolt on c5z record so thats why i spent the money. but not going for that anymore. you have a fun car so i would go with the welds because your not trying to get 110% out of your car to set some record

Bogarts are a great race wheel. They are no better than the Weld wheels, Welds drag wheels (Alumastars/Magnums) are just as light. Welds street wheels (Prostar/Draglite/RTS etc) are a little heavier because they are designed to be used on the street.

The bogarts you have and Weld draglites are within a couple pounds of each other. I sold my Bogarts off my Cobra because I was scared to street drive them. The guy who bought them from me ended up breaking a front wheel a month later, had it replaced, and ended up just breaking another wheel a week or so ago. I'm glad I went with Welds as much as I street drive my car.
