the question is. I have a set of 243 heads that the guy said came of ls6 but the springs are silver shouldnt they me yellow.

They could have been swapped out at one point in time. As long as the heads are stamped with "243" you've got the LS6 heads.

243 heads also came on LS2 GTOs and I got a pair of those
with silver springs. The 'vette version with the lightweight
exhaust valves may be different looking. I have not looked
at a Corvette LS6 head.

I wouldn't worry about it because you ought to upgrade
springs when you do a cam swap, and I reckon you will
someday.

243s with the hollow stem intake and sodium filled exhaust valves which are
.0236" longer than LS1 valves are the only LS6 heads. The LS2 6 liter engines
in the C6 vettes and GTOs as well as some aluminum 5.3 truck engines have
243 castings. The truck heads would have plain springs.

So are all 243 heads the same other than springs being the difference ?

Valves are different..as posted above.

I have a set that I was told came from a 2001 LS6..silver Springs on them.
