Default 5th gen vs ls3 f body

i own the 5th gen its a exhaust , cam , intake tune . making 461/423. also has 125 shot but wasnt use in these races. my car was a lil down on power atm, i had br9ef plugs in it cause we was checkin plugs cause i had a miss and i never put the br7 back in . the f body is making about the same as mine . not 100% on the power but its a ls3 cammed bolton car aswell he was on dr and i was on my factory tires. i think he also has a gear.
first race was at a 30 kick. i did the beeps and well i suck at it. he jumped a lil early and i went a lil late .

the 2nd race his buddy in the passenger seat counted down . i couldnt hear it cause he has open headers and it muffled him out. i got a late start again. his car pulled me in the mid range and i would pull back a lil on top end . his 4th gear would top out at like 120.

then a friend of mine in another 5th same setup as mine but setup for n/a . his made like 10 more hp and 11 more tq. they both got good starts and it was like 5 foot either way everytime they raced.

Good runs. Buddy has a 418 LS3 in his 01 TA. Its pretty nasty. Heads, huge cam, built tranny, 3.90 gears, eletrci water pump, Fast/TB. He mades a little over 550whp. Now if he can just get it to hook.

BR9 plugs are kinda overkill OP for a 125. I'm running TR6 since 4-5years with a 150 now problem. I ordered some BR7 for added safety..

Anyway, your car run strong for sure. Way to represent the 5th gen crowd!

ya , as i said i run br7ef but had a bad miss and put the 9s in to see if that was the problem. but i didnt put them back in and later that day i got the call to come out and only had like 15 mins to be there. so i had to run them. i didnt even spray so i know i was losing some power. i run tr6 sometimes too. thats accually what i drive around on now days . cause i can get good n/a and everyday driving , but if i need to spray i can. but if i know im gonna spray and have the time ill put the br7s in.
